VIP Truffle Feast, Cheese and Wine Event at The Cheese Boutique- April 18th

April is a perfect time for celebrating the finest cheeses, wines, and the famed winter black truffle - the Périgord noir!  The birthstone for April is the diamond.   Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, the 18th century French gourmand, once referred to Périgord truffles as the “diamonds of the kitchen,” and for centuries forward, food industry experts still agree. 

On April 18th, we invite you to a private VIP culinary event at the iconic Toronto gourmet shop, The Cheese Boutique for a fun and celebratory feast to highlight the black truffle with perfectly paired dishes, wines, and cocktails.  The doors will open at 7PM and you will be welcomed by your hosts, Root44 Founder and 5th Generation Truffle Specialist  Wanda Srdoc and renowned Cheese Master, Author, and Food Network Celebrity, Afrim Pristine.  Over the course of the evening you will experience 5 decadent roaming food stations, each showcasing the exquisite black truffle with perfectly paired wines and cocktails handpicked by the highly respected industry expert, Charlie Burgers through their CB WIne Program. This is an event not to be missed! We can’t wait to celebrate the finest truffles, cheeses, gourmet dishes and wines with you.

• A private tour with Afrim Pristine in their Million Dollar Cheese Cave.

NOTE:  Limited ticketed event.  Non-refundable only transferrable.  There are plenty of vegetarian options at each roaming station.  Please advise of any food allergies 2 weeks prior to the event date.  We will do our best to accommodate where possible. EVENT OVERVIEW

Price:  $235 pp

5 Roaming Food Stations include:

1 - Cocktail shrimp and freshly shucked oysters with a truffle vinaigrette

2- Italian Burrata infused with black truffle, arugula salad, roasted delicata squash, crusty baguette

3- Truffle jus over prime cut beef, roasted red peppers and fingerling potatoes

4- Cacio e pepe gnocchi with brown butter and fresh black truffle shaved

5- A selection of the best truffle infused cheeses on the planet with truffle honey and other decadent desserts

Also, more delicious treats will be passed around throughout the night.

As a guest you can visit each station numerous times. There is lots of food. Servers will be passing around food from each station as well.

The hosts of the evening will also walk around with truffles to shave them onto the gnocchi and the meat dishes.

Drinks:  Great open wine bar with 1 signature cocktail, 1 sparkling wine, 1 white wine, 2 red wines.  All exclusively selected for this truffle themed event by the CB Wine Program.
